wedding receptions/cocktail hours

Cedar Valley Strings is pleased to be a part of the ambiance of your cocktail hour or wedding reception. While your guests are enjoying delicious food and engaging with one another, our vast collection of repertoire, both old and new, is sure to add to your special day as background elegance as they continue to celebrate you! 

Our services include musical entertainment (as background music or engaged performance) for a maximum of 90 minutes with short breaks as needed. (See pricing below for services lasting longer than 90 minutes.) Also included is an initial consultation if desired to discuss any special song requests and timing details.

Every event is unique with many additional elements that factor into a pricing estimate for a wedding reception or cocktail hour, such as venue/location, travel required, indoor vs. outdoor, special song requests that may require the purchase/preparation of new music, etc. The fees listed below are flat rates which include the services listed above for events that are considered local to the musicians involved. quartet: starting at $700  /  trio: starting at $550  /  duo: starting at $400  /   solo: starting at $250

An additional fee of $25 per musician will be charged for each half hour past the initial 90-minute performance time.
